The material

Paper for interiors.

Washi is Japanese paper, used in interiors as a wall covering, within translucent panels and in artwork.

KAMISM makes architectural washi using traditional paper techniques and contemporary finishes. Hand-applied layers give each sheet subtle variations in texture and colour, which change in appearance with the light.

We supply papers selected for your intended surface, scale and lighting conditions.

Translucent panels.

Translucent papers can be incorporated into glass or acrylic panels for partitions and lighting. Opaque and layered papers are used for textured wall finishes and three-dimensional art panels.

Colours and designs can be customised for your interior. We discuss the options with KAMISM and arrange samples for review.
